What's your nursery going to look like?

Good morning ladies! I'm picking out a crib and other furniture today and was just wondering what you guys have in mind for the nursery. I've changed my mind on the bedding again and now we're going with the babiesrus Patchwork Pooh.
http://www.             toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2415159

On the walls I want to paint cream and yellow stripes and top it off with white chair rail. I'm thinking about only doing stripes on one wall and painting the others just the cream color. What do you guys think?

So with all that in mind what color crib should I go with?? Neutral, Oak, White, Cherry, Black??? Can't decided!

Also I'd love to hear what you guys are planning.

Nicole

But im so tempted to do things like u girls for the arrival of the little one.

Someone was telling me about the playpen, it looks good i checked on Google!

Walls will be a neutral color...not white, but not quite beige...more like antique white. I am going with dark brown or cherry furniture. We also may do white. Since the trim in the room is white...I haven't decided on a theme just yet...

35 Mom of Boys - Target has these cute baskets...I was in there today (yes I sneaked out after my doctor's appt) and they had different colors..H&H can have there own...

lol, yea, were giving our 30 day notice july 1st, were hoping that we will already have a house by then so that we can move that first week and then spend the rest of the time cleaning out the old house! luckily we are in a 3bdrm and we will be moving into a 3+ bdrm house too...we have too much stuff to downgrade =) at least i wont be too far behind you Nic =)

i am a cleaning/moving freak!! i am the type of person that would rather do it ALL by myself, clean, decorate, organize, all of it BUT i cant and this move is going to drive me nuts!! lol!!!!!!

Asking- you're going to wait until you move right?

I'm not starting on it until after the baby shower June 20th just because we have a ton of family that is going to stay with us and we need the guest room. I want the registry to be done before the invites go out in a week or so. I have all the regular baby stuff on my registry and then I added three big ticket items for the grandparents. I figure they will get the stroller, car seat, and crib. We have my parents, his dad and stepmom, and his mom.

I guess I just want to have it all figured out and have everything ready. I'm seriously going to make my dh tear apart the guest room the minute they leave.

i have some pictures of what the nursery currently looks like (we never touched Aidyn's room. we wont set up any of Bryce's stuff until after we move to the new house) basically we are using the exact same stuff...all the furniture (all white) the brown shaggy rug, the brown changing pad cover, the brown boppy, and the brown curtains and getting this new bedset...

http://www.beyond-bedding.com/blue-and-brown-modern-baby-boy-crib-bedding-set-jojo.html

there is just enough white in it that the furniture will pop...i will have to change the inserts on the baskets to match (i sew and made them so its no big deal) and i will add the vallance to the curtains that are already up (that i made) we will be renting so we wont be able to paint but i do acrylic painting and will probably just get some small canvases and paint the matching design on them. i got little wood letters of his name, painted the edges that brown and the main front the matching blue and the tied ribbon to the top of them so they will look like they are tied to the wall (ill take a picture later so that it makes sense if it doesnt) =)

im a little jealous of you all, i wish i could start decorating now too!! but i refuse to touch Aidyn's room, there isnt even anything for Bryce in there...its all Aidyns stuff, just feels right!!

Trust me, it would end up all zigzaged across my wall by them time I finish with it.  I may look into it though.

Nic, if you're doing a white chair rail, I do think white furniture would look great.  White is such a girly color too.   =)

I like the look of the white cribs, but I saw one at babies r us and it was covered in dirty hand gunk where everyone had touched it. Not that I plan on having a dirty crib, but one that showcases hand prints doesn't sound like fun. I'm thinking about going neutral.

Momofboys- you could always add a panel chair rail like this....

They sell plastic prefab ones at home depot and lowes. It's an easy way to dress up a room if your less than crafty with paint.

I agree.  I think that is a personal preference.  But from the sound of your decor I would say neutral or cherry.

Your nursery sounds adorable!

Well, we finally decided on furniture this past weekend.  We are using a tall dresser that we already had, and then we are getting a tea-stained convertible crib and changing table/dresser from Babi Italia.  I have a coupon for 15% off at Babies R Us this Wednesday night, and we probably going to try to get the changing table/dresser this week.

We're not sure if we are going to paint the room, as it is small, and we are thinking that we are going to end up moving in a couple of years.  The bedding is Winnie the Pooh Soft and Fuzzy from Babies R Us (I debated between that and the Patchwork Pooh).  So excited, just want to get everything in order soon, before it gets too hot upstairs!

Sounds so cute and how exciting this is!

I think the furniture/crib color is just a personal preference.  I'm going with black.  I'm buying the cribs and a dresser from walmart.com online.  They have pretty nice wood furniture actually, at a reasonable price...  I'm on somewhat of a budget since there's two!

We bought a white changing table at a yard sale (gently used) and spray painted it black.  It looks pretty good actually.  I'm having a hard time finding baskets to go underneath it though?  I need a couple baskets that are girly/baby looking for toiletries and stuff.

As far as our bedding sets go, we're using the "pop daisy" theme by babiesRus.  It's a pink and brown daisy theme with polka dots and stripes.

I guess my walls will be beige.  I love the look of stripes but I'd never be able to pull that off myself!  Not crafty enough!
