I'm sorry about your experience, I hope you are feeling better soon...
I did not realize I was not getting enough fluids until I bought a 32-oz container and made myself drink at least two of them during the day at work, and then milk for supper and 6 more ounces of water every time i got up to pee in the night. I have to say I am feeling a lot better--all the little symptoms have eased, including the contractions and cramps at night, and waking up feeling more refreshed. I think baby needs a lot of water right now, as I've read he drinks up to a quart of amniotic fluid a day. Even though I'm running to the bathroom a lot more, I just picture it as refreshing his supply. :)

I'm sorry you feel so lousy! I don't drink enough water some days and then I get like a cramping pain in my bladder area. Apparently at this stage we need a camelback for constant fluids it's annoying. I fill up my water bottle all day long and keep it with me. It's always by my side. If not for that I forget to drink.
Once the infection gets treated and you get more fluids you'll be feeling better. At this point I'm wondering if I can get the epidural sometime in July ;-) Between the cramps, contractions, bladder pains, and back aches I feel like a train wreck every night. I don't know you keep up that schedule your like a super woman! I'm having a hard time just keeping my house picked up.
I hope you feel better Latrice...
I don't drink enough water either...sometimes it makes me gag! UGH...it takes on a different taste sometimes too...OH THE JOYS OF PREGNANCY!!!
I'm glad you fount out what is wrong Latrice. I felt the same way at my doctor's appt. I told him I was having the frequent urination, but not much coming out, and it wasn't burning... They didn't see any traces in my urine. And my nurse said I could be having bladder spams. They sent it off for a culture, I haven't received a call or anything, so I guess all is okay. I just told them I probably am not drinking enough fluid, so i'm MAKING myself drink enough, and so far everything is good. I even drank cranberry juice and it helped. So try it. =] Keep us updated.
No experience with dehydration, but here's my trick to get in enough water. I have to drink 64oz a day. I have a big 32 oz cup which I fill when I start work. My goal is to finish it by lunch. But before that, I drink 8 oz in the morning. After lunch I fill the cup again and work on it in the afternoon. Then I have another 8 oz glass before bed. Most of the time I make it close to the 64 oz.
I know I'm not getting enough fluids, either, Latrice. I've been swollen all weekend and had some horrible pains that I know were contractions. I think I overdid it by going to by kids baseball games on Friday and Saturday. When I finally laid down in the bed at night, the contractions finally stopped. Although it's hard to find a comfortable position in bed anymore.
Great idea on the epidural in July, Nic. I'm all for it. =) I wander if I can just go ahead and get mine now... LOL
Well i went to see my OB today (follow up from ER) she basicly told me it was round ligament pains but not sure why i was getting them every 5 min. Im only getting them now every so often and the pain is not as intense, so im glad about that. Since i was there i ended up doing the glucose test and had a regualar exam since my appt was scheduled for the 22nd. I hope i pass it, cant imagine doing a 3 hour test.
I'm glad all is well now!!
