oh no T!!!!! WELL yesterday i bought the most amazing piece of material, the belly sleeve from motherhood. im wearing a pair of non maternity pants that i cannot button and i have them unbuttoned with the belly sleeve and they DO NOT MOVE!!! and they smooth every line, wrinkle and lump away, and its SOOOO comfy!!!!!! it was only 17 bucks, totally worth it PLUS they say wearing it through the pregnancy supports your belly, and wearing it after birth, helps tighten everything back up like before......just wanted to share......ive had too many close calls like you and decided to give in (im getting big with this pregnancy already and its not baby =(
Oh no!!! LOL!!! How funny and embarrassing too :)
This happened when I WASN'T pregnant, but still a similar story. I had a male co-worker who was nice enough to give me a ride to work when I was having car trouble. He lived the closest to me. Anyway, we were dropping my son off at daycare. I got out of the car as my co-worker sat in the car waiting. He honked at me, so I turned to look. He made a funny motion. He was trying to let me know that my dress was stuck in my pantyhose!!! Um...Yeah, I was embarrassed. I was pretty new and didn't know this guy very well!!! Then I had to ride all the way to work with him :)
It's hard to buy maternity stuff right now because of the changing seasons also. I went and bought mostly shirts and one pair of pants because I know that spring is right around the corner. I'll have to go back probably in May and stock up on my summer stuff.
Yea that is funny and very embarssing, especially when the granny undies is involved.. Lately ive been using the rubber band trick with my pants, which helps. I plan on going shopping the end of the month for materinty clothes.
So my story isn't nearly as entertain as yours. Well I'm a CNA and I work first shift that starts at 6am :(. Well this morning I woke up to my alarm and went and looked at my schedually, because I was convinced that today was the 12th (not the 10th) so I went back to bed. I was so happy! Well my hubby's alarm went off around 7 and I got a phone call from my work... So I called them back and the lady was like "where are you..." and I was like I don't have to work today, today is the 12th. I think your scheduall is screwed up. And then she broke the news... "today is the 10th, and you are suspose to be here..." As a whole lot of cuss words wanted to roll out of my mouth, I held it in and said sorry and that I would be there ASAP. And I was. Needless to say I feel like a compleat A-hole when I got there and I hardly had any work to do. Luckly the schedually undersood, cuz I am "new." But I spent the whole car ride crying because I didn't want to get fired, even though I knew I screwed up really bad. Oh well she didn't seem to be too upset, which really made my day.
However, I was about to do it again today. And I finally figured out why!!! We get a scheduall that looks like something you'd print off of excell or what have you, with an "x" by your name when you are to work. However, the schdually is super small and there is a random white box at the end of each pay period, which I found was really odd, well that's what was screwing me up cuz if my hubby hadn't pointed that out to me today, I wouldn't have went to work tomorrow. But like I said he pointed that out to me and I AM going to work tomorrow!
But that was my first pregnancy screw up thus far!
I can't help but both laugh and feel mortified for you! Lol.
Good luck shopping tonight!
Oh my god. That makes me feel so much better about myself! I'm laughing my butt off at that story. I think the granny undies are really the topper.
I have one for you too, not quite as bad.
I was at blockbuster last week and had my bella band holding up my pants. Hadn't realized the band had worked it's way up on my belly so I was walking around zipper down pants stretched out with my underware clearly visible. As I was walking to the car I saw my reflection and wanted to die.
Hee hee!!! That is very funny! Definitely time to go shopping!!!! You will be so much more comfortable. I find the pants with the full "bib" feel so comfortable and they will also really show off your belly because it can all just hang out. I love my maternity pants.
