I had my gallbladder removed when I was about 3 months pregnant with my 5 year old. They told me they don't like to do it but they did it. But warned me that it would be a 50% chance of a miscarriage. I was young and in alot of pain so I let them remove it. I think waiting and eating food without fat is much smarter. Glad to see your baby is ok.

So sorry you are dealing with this through your pregnancy!  I have not had gall stones but know others who have and know the pain can be excruciating.  I hope the pain is becomes manageable for you but it is good to know they can remove it if needed after 30 weeks.

Question for you, I also did IVF and my doctor did not mention that they won't let me go past my due date.  Did your doc mention why he would let you go past your due date because of IVF?  I'm just wondering what the difference is.  I'm going to ask my doctor.

Take care!

my pain is pretty much on my right side just below my rib cage. It feels like someone is stabbing me through the chest and into my back. when i get the attacks i also have trouble breathing. i am hoping i can cope with this till after she is born but if i cant they will take my gallbladder after 30 weeks. Untill then no fat in my diet at all.

Sorry to hear you've been in the hospital. I had gallstones a few years ago and they took out my gallbladder. Can they remove yours?

I am so sorry you were in the hospital and I have heard those gall stones are super painful!!!  Ouch!!!

I am so glad the baby is doing well though and I hope and pray that they are able to make you comfortable.

Oh, and I am glad they are not making you go over your due date!  I never understand why doctors do that.......

Take care and keep us posted!
