Lily doesn't roll but she manages to scoot around while laying on her back somehow!
Oh yeah K-bug has been rolling over for about a month now. She moves all over the floor when I lay her down to play.
It depends on the baby really. My kids rolled anywhere from 2 weeks (tummy to back) to 5 months. Lily will be 5 months next week and still hasn't rolled.
Lily too LOVES sucking on her fingers. I believe it's becuase a) it comforts her if she doesn't have her paci and b) she chews on them becuase she is teething and it's easier for her to get her fingers in her mouth rather than a toy. I see no harm in letting him suck away :)
DH has always let out kids lick different foods as babies. Just last night he was letting lily lick a piece of bread. DS6 and DD7 were sucking on pickles at 5 months. I have a hilarious video of DS2 licking an icecream sandwich and screaming bloody murder when it was taken away. As long as you ensure no pieces of the food get in his mouth I think he'll be fine.
Curling toes is normal for babies, just like keeping their hands fisted a lot of the time.
Kaelynn ***** on her hands constantly! I noticed it more when she got two teeth in at 3 months old. Her hands were so wet all the time that the skin was peeling off the tips of her fingers. I tried using those mitten covers and she would just suck on them soaking them. Didn't work. She stopped once both her teeth came in. Now that she is drooling again pretty bad and teething her top teeth she is sucking on her hands again a fair amount and the skin is peeling again.
She keeps her toes curled under all the time! It's hard to pick out the sock fuzzes. I don't know if it's normal or not. I'm sure she'll adjust when she starts to try and walk.
I don't know if the candy and stuff is bad or not. I haven't given K-bug anything but bananas and cereal. BF's mom keeps talking about letting her suck on stuff. I keep telling her NO. I really hope that she hasn't when she's babysitting and I'm not around.
I'm not too sure when babies roll over. I'm told (and read) between 4-5 months, but Kylie is 5 months the 8th and could care less about rolling.
As for the candy, I doubt it will do much. You don't wanna know the stuff Phil has given to Kylie. (For example, pop sickles....ugh)
Kylie curls her toes under when she stands, when I touch her feet, or sometimes when she's laying there. I would venture a guess that's it normal, but you can ask his ped.
I don't think it's too big a deal if he chews/eats his hands. Kylie refuses all pacifiers and teething things as well and uses the breast, her hands, my hands etc to chew on instead. It would be up to you if you wanted him to stop or not. In my case I could care less and just let her attack her hands.
Lily only had 1 day when she rolled over (several times) and hasn't done it since. I'm pretty sure it's a typical 5 month milestone.
I doubt licking candy would really cause any harm. I worry more about the food coloring in the candy then the sugar, but I'm sure they are equally as bad. I can understand wanting the baby to taste fun things tho, I'm often tempted.
I don't know if curling toes under is normal or not, but I can tell you lily does this when in the standing position.
Lily loves her pacifier and when she doesn't have it she ***** on her fingers too. I notice she does this when she needs some comfort( tummy time or had enough of her jumper) and it could be a teething thing too. I don't think you can really stop him from doing it, he should just grow out of it.
Maybe more experienced mommys will have actually advice, but all sounds normal :)
