no heartbeat at 7 weeks
i am 7 weeks and my doctor couldnt find the heart beat,she thinks i miscarried,but said to wait 2 weeks to go back and have a check up and more then likely have a D and C, im only 19, my first pregnancy, and im terified.. i dont know what to do or think right now, i just want to know when you should be able to see the heart beat at least, i think im in denial, i dont want to believe my child is gone, but i also dont have tht much faith in doctors.. so.. please help me someone.. :'(

It's not uncommon AT ALL to not hear the heartbeat at 7wks! It's possible to go till 20wks without hearing it depending on the size of mother & baby! I'm pretty sure 10wks is about the norm time to start hearing it so try to calm down & just see how things go! U def don't need the extra stress of worrying right now! I can't even imagine why a Dr would tell u that this early anyway if it wasn't fact & if it was fact that u M/C then the D&C shouldn't b postponed! But I'm not a Dr so their reasonings r their own I guess! Good luck hope everything works out!!
