I'm so glad I came across this forum. I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and all of my symptoms have gone away except that I'm extremely tired :(. I was thinking something was wrong, but it's comforting to hear that it's normal for the symptoms to fade. Thanks for sharing ladies!

which antibiotics you'r taking? I am taking ampicillin. I was concern because I read mostly women are screened for strep B later in the pregnancy and so get treated later not so early. But now I  know its not always true :-)
Thanks

yes a lot of women have to take antibiotics early. I had to start antibiotics in week 4. Your doc would not prescribe it if it weren't safe. the good out weighs the bad. Infection can cause issues early on so it's best to get rid of any infection. hope this helps

Hi sg10,

Dont worry about symptoms, I have heard from my OB they come and go away time to time and in case since you are almost at the end of first trimester its possible they are fading away. I am seven weeks pregnant and at week 6 my symptoms were gone and came back again after some time. So dont worry. Do you know which infection you have gotten in your urine? and what medicine they gave you? Antibiotics? I have gotten Strep B infection this early and have been taking ampicillin. I hope its fine to take this early. Has any of you have heard some one taking antibiotics this early? Thanks

stephrox13 is right you really have to drink a lot of fluid. i have problems drinking water but the carbonated water helps. try your best to stay away from soda.

You sound just like me.  I am just starting my tenth week and feel like my symptoms  are going.  Still have a little nausea, but not like it was.  Bbs are getting less sore also!  I just ordered a dopplar last night!!!  Hang in there.  I think we tend to overanalyze everything because we want this so bad!

Take the pills & drink lots of water & Cranberry juice. If u don't drink lots of fluid u will continue to get UTIs. Add a powder packet to your water to give u some flavor.

What symptoms disappeared? Most symptoms do go away in the second month. Like the morning sickness, dizziness, and headaches. Some women never have symptoms or very little and then others can keep them the entire pregnancy. If you are continuing to hear the heartbeat on scans don't worry so much.
The infection part isn't a big deal unless left untreated. It can cause miscarriage if it isn't taken care of. I just got over one and best advice i have is take all the pills and drink cranberry or crangrape juice and as much water as you can stand. Once the pills are done ask the doc to check again to make sure the infection is completely gone. best wishes.
