Contractions for days??

So, I have asked the question before, "When do you start counting the hours you're in labor?" and a lot of people said when you're experiencing contractions and pretty much when you start making progress...

So, my question still is... When do you start counting the hours of labor, because technically my labor began 2 days ago, I'm 1 1/2 cm dilated....But I've never heard anyone say, "I've been in labor 5 days.."

So, when do you start counting hours?

I would start countung when your actively in labour. With my first i was already 4 cm before labour started so when it did start my contractions were 5 mins apart so i counted from start to finish. This pregnancy im already 4 cm and guessing itll be similar but if i were in labour for days id count when i was actively in labour.

Some peoples water doesn't break on it's own. Some times the doc has to do it for them. Usually doctors say to time them if they are 5 mins apart an last for an hour(the whole hour they are 5 mins apart) then time to grab your hospital bag an go to the er! (: I'm actually on my way now lol hope this helps
