Should i get early US

Hey girls
Had my first pre-natal appointment today and all looks to be going well according to my doc.
HCG levels are as shud be etc ... I am not due my first US until March 13th but am bursting with excitement to see baby, hear heartbeat and put my mind at rest.
Should i go ahead and get an early US privately or just wait for my scheduled hospital one?
Its my first pregnancy so any advice Id appreciate.

Id say to wait til the one your doctor gives you. I have 2 kids & 1 on the way & for my 1st 2 kids, the doctors only gave me 1 US. Once they told me the light out something isn't always good for the baby, I would never let myself get more than one unless they had to. Always think about the baby 1st. Its exciting to bring a baby into this world but always ask questions to a health professional 1st

I got my first ultrasound at 8 weeks with my son and then 12 weeks for the screening ultrasound where they measure everything and make sure it doesnt look like anything is wrong.. the first ultrasound doesnt look like much but its great to see the first heartbeat etc. It's really up to you personally, I'd say if you want it, go for it! I just asked my gyn for an u/s referral when I went to confirm pregnancy and she gave it to me. She isn't an ob or anything. Idk how that works with ur Dr but good luck and hope u see ur lo soon!
