My advice is just to relaxand be patient. When it's time, you'll know it. Our bodies are so unpredictable. (But can always try walking.)I'm 39weeks, 3 days. I had continuous intense contractions last night while running an errand with my fiance. I thought it might be time, but after getting home and lying down, the contractions slowed and eventually almost stopped. I went to my weekly appt 2 days ago. I've dilated 2 cen. But Cervix is still thick and baby is up high...although her head is down. However, she now feels lower because it's more difficult to walk. She'll probably be here within a day or two. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and delivery!
