I'm 40+4 as well. Also waiting for any sign or symptoms constantly, but no luck so far...
I' ate 4 pineapples during last few days, replaced my regular tea with raspberry leaf tea, do jumping in the morning, went to sauna few times, try to keep active  and eat spicy food, even tried acupressure - nothing works for me!
The midwife will be offering to do a sweep on Friday for the second time. (I refused the first one) Really hope things will start without an interventions

I feel you too. I'm 40 + 4 and feel like I am constantly waiting for a twinge or pain but nothing! Getting really frustrated but trying to keep positive as I know stressing won't help. I'm not booked to be induced yet but if there are no signs by Thursday, my midwife is going to book me in! Really want this to happen naturally. I suppose we just need to keep our chins up as our beautiful baby's will be here soon enough! I'm a FTM and I also think it's a combination of anticipation of pain and the no previous experience of what that feels like!x

I feel for you! I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, so I'm not overdue yet but the ought my whole pregnancy everyone has told me they thought I would go early, so I started to expect it. As of Friday I was only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced and my baby hasn't yet  engaged. She's going to be a big girl, and the dr is talking about a C section but I really want to have her vaginally. I'm worried about inducing because I know that increases the risk of. C section... I'm also a gym. Good luck to you!! Try to stay busy this week of you can to keep your mind busy!
