My water broke!

Im currently 26 weeks pregnant and my water broke in the middle of the night.  It was a pink tinged color on my liner. I got admitted to the hospital and looks like I'll be here until I'm 34 weeks at least. I'm going crazy! I feel so bummed out. How could I had prevented this?? I'm scared! Don't know what to do now. :(

I had such a relief when I had him. It was pain every day with contractions, kidney inflammation, and urine infection. I was getting strong pain medication because nothing was helping me and the injections for the contractions will give me palpitations.

I'll be 30 weeks monday! I'm so happy to have at least made it this far with my boys since I've been having contractions for 4 weeks. Hoping to keep them in for a few more weeks but it's such a relief to see people that have their babies early and are doing great!

That pill helped me also, but my contractions weren't unable to be stopped on the last day. Once labor gets here you won't be able to stop it. My baby weigh 3lbs and 5oz and was 16 inches long. How many weeks are you?

Just the pill they gave me in the hospital. I should mention I'm pregnant with twins so I kind of expected to go early. Just not this early! Contractions have slowed down a lot but still pretty frequent, no pain or dilation yet though so that's reassuring. I'm glad to hear baby is doing good! I bet it's hard not to be able to hold him, stay positive! Before you know it you'll be home with him:)

Baby is doing great so far! He is progressing pretty good and responding to treatment very well. He was only intubated for less than 12 hours so that was great! He is tolerating the feeding tube with my breastmilk so far. He's very calm. I am not able to carry him yet, since he's still in the incubator. We're looking at another 5 weeks in the NICU. Hold your baby inside as much as possible, but if you go into true labor there's no way of stopping it. Try to relax. Have they given you anything to stop the contractions?

How are you and the baby doing? I've been having preterm contractions since week 25 and am currently 29 weeks and so scared of going into labor this early.

I ruptured at 21 weeks and I'm at 26 now. This is in combination with being 3 cm dilated and bleeding for 3 weeks. Stay positive, know it's not your fault, and talk to friends and family. Did they give you a steroid shot yet?
