BIG and Heavy

I'm 30weeks, my stomach is big and body so heavy. I look as if I'm due tomorrow. Does this mean that my baby is too big? Wil I be able to lose baby weight after giving birth? Stressed that I might also be unable to push.

Thanks a lot ladies, il try and do light exercises as well. Plus I also have a painful pelvic bone maybe exercises will help. @Lousie with my first child I did lose weight at 2weeks and the belly fat was gone, I stopped breast feeding because I was going back to work, after 4months I gained back that weight with a huge stubborn belly fat which I struggle to lose now.

Nope doesn't always mean your baby is big. Some people just carry big. Your midwife or doc will let you know if they think your baby is getting too big.

I usually put on lots of weight during my pregnancies, I get fatigued just squatting down (never mind the getting back up bit) and I have bad back pain... it's never stopped me from pushing during labour! I got plenty of adrenaline and motivation during labour so I think you go into primitive mode and your body just takes over - I barely made a conscious effort to push, my body just did it.

As for losing the weight (I put on 50+ pounds with first, 40 with second, and headed for another 50+ gain with this one), well when your baby weighs 10lbs, the placenta nearly 3, plus fluid (I had giant swollen ankles too), by week 1, 20lbs were gone. The rest depends on lifestyle and genetics, I always lost that extra 30lbs pretty soon from breastfeeding, and by 4 months was weighing less than my pre-pregnancy weight for both births. But I know breastfeeding mums who struggled for a year or 2 or more and found it really hard to get the weight off so seems genetics has a big say in it and you won't really know til you get there...

I'm feeling the same way! Do leg lifts and stretches. I'm so lazy but I try to squeeze those in. I think long and hard about squats but I somehow manage to find anything else to do but that! Grrrrr! Lol Do your kegels and walk everyday at least. You're going to be fine!
