i have a pilonidal cyst on my lower back. It became infected bad. I had a minor surgery yesterday to drain it. Now I'm on an antibiotic and pain medicine that they say is safe for a short amount of time in pregnancy. I'm just worried about how this is affecting the baby. I had a sonogram Sunday at the hospital and all was good but that was before the drainage and medicine. I can't do anything. I can barely stand up. When I sit down I'm down for awhile. Laying even on my side hurts. I'm so over this and just venting at this point.

Those stink, I had one after my first pregnancy. Try taking a hot shower and letting Water run on it to relieve the pain.

I'm sorry about this, my partner is going through this also but as he's a guy he doesn't have to deal with the pregnancy aswell, paracetamol is safe and depending on the meds they gave you should be fine, I expect cocodamol which had paracetamol in it. I wish you a speedy recovery but it can take a few weeks what with the packing and changing of dressings. X
