First Dr Appt at 13 weeks

So I had my initial appointment today, got a bunch of information, got my blood work ordered & because of the stupid backwards bmi chart, I had to get a glucose challenge. I waited 8 hrs to take it so that I could fast, but I'm afraid that wasn't enough. Did any of you mommies have to get an early challenge? When you did do the glucose, did you fast or did you eat?

I did the glucose test when I was only 7 weeks because both of my parents have diabetes.  So my doctor suggested me to do it early just in case.  I was told not to eat anything 45 minutes before the test.  I went in and drank a bottle of "orange juice" kind of thing, and waited for an hour for them to draw my blood.  I kept drinking water while I was waiting.  And phew, I passed the challenge!  Good luck bsiekman!  Hope you pass it too!!!

If it's the same one, I did not have to fast. I had to drink a juice and then they drew my blood an hour after.
