I take zofran too....if I didnt I am sure id be hospitalized. No way could I work without it or get through the day. Most days I suffer through anyway and only take 1 dose....have gone as long as 3 days without any but it was rough. You have to weigh the percieved risk/benefit. The hungry trolling lawyers want you to believe its unsafe because they want lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies....your ob wouldnt prescribe unless they believed you needed it.

I too take zofran, but i too only take it once maybe twice a day i pretty much need it only in the am and then im ok. I dont suggest using a nausea medicine a lot just because the medication isnt always good for the baby

Honestly im taking zofran. I only take is as needed which is only like once maybe twice a day. Some days i dont take them at all. I mentioned this law suit about it to my dr and he told me yes it has but only in people who overuse it. I think 3 times a day is too much. Thats why i only take when i absolutely have to. My nausea usually get better if i eat crackers or some bread.

I have been to 3 specialists asking them if zofran is safe as I have been taking it daily for 3 weeks now. Each said it is safe and that the only reason people argue its safety is coz the FDA hasn't bothered to research it yet. That being said a new study that has been all over the media lately in Copenhagen studied the effects of zofran on 600000 pregnant women and said it is safe it dossnt cause harm.

My doctor prescribed me phenogran for nausea, but it makes me really lightheaded and dizzy! It says take twice a day as needed. I heard zofran is linked to birth defects..

Did you try Diclegis? It's a class A drug so completely safe with tons of research. My doc wanted me to take zofran with my first (Diclegis wasnt approved in the US yet) but I was too scared. I vomited just about every day of my pregnancy including the day my 9 pound daughter was born on her due date. Not pleasant but if you gain enough weight and don't get dehydrated might be worth just trying to deal with/ make the best of it.

After reading your post, l'm a little nervous because that is excatly what my doctor is having me take 3 times a day, but l only take them twice a day. He decided to prescribe that after my previous nausea pills wouldn't work. l tried not taking anything for a week, and l felt worse, throwing up everything. Now with Zofren l can finally keep my food down. But l'm really nervous about your comment, l'm a first time mom.

My nurse told me to get sea band at a drug store found it at rite aid. I also work with kids n a mom of two told me not to take any vomiting pills she has had s bad experience. Plus they say if u have nausea that means ur hormones are doing the job.

I wouldn't take zofran since there have been recent links to birth defects. As long as you inform your doctor that you were pregnant then it should be safe
