Scabs on nipples?

I just noticed on my nipples it looks like tiny scabs? It looks disgusting!! I picked at and it some came off. It doesn't hurt. I don't know what it could be!!

Anyone else experiencing this?

Had the same thing, kind of comes and goes. Very strange

Yup. It could be crusted up stuff from leaky nipples. It could also be dry skin. Pregnancy gives me dry skin all over my body in rough patches. My nipples get chapped and flakey, too.

you're probably barely leaking colostrum, and once it dries up a little it looks like a scab.

well, that was the case for me at least. mine starting leaking around 15 weeks or so, I wet a few shirts throughout the night, and sometimes they'd scab up like that. it's nothing bad or serious, you just may want to get nipple pads to keep from messing up your bras/shirts in the future.

mine went away after a while, but gosh it was a pain in the butt.. and boobs for a while! lol

oh, and don't scratch the scabs off! try to pat them with a damp washcloth or something, but don't pick them off.. it'll get painful after a while, trust me, and it can cause them to leak even more!
