I was told to every time but I wasn't sure, I bought the sterilizer thing from target for $40 it's electric.
I didn't at first and my baby got diarrhea. So I bought one and have been sterilizing since. I will be doing it for my second.
I don't have the sterilizer things you can buy so I was gonna do it the old fashioned way by boiling lol are the sterilizers better?
I only put them in boiling water to sterilize the first time with my daughter. I had her 15 months ago. And will be doing the same with this one
Here in the UK, it's recommended you sterilise before every use. I've got a microwave steriliser that uses steam. Cost about £10 x
You can boil or use a sterilizer. I was boiling, then bought a setrilizer because that just turned out to be easier for me.
You can put your bottles in the dishwasher and use the dry cycle which basically bakes everything dry. Not sure if you can do that with the plastic bottles because but you definitely can with glass.
I think it is best to sterilize before each use. You can't relay on your municipla watersupply to always be clean. Tap might be ok for adults but there can still be microbes in the the water that can affect a babies delicate digestive tract.
Iboil em up til they are a yr old.
Cleanliness is very important in general.
