baby weight

Hi, All:

Hoping for some input. My wife is 26 weeks pregnant. We had an appointment Wednesday which consisted of an ultrasound and consultation with the Dr. The baby was measured and we were told everything was normal. His weight was 2.2lbs. A follow up was scheduled for 1 months.

Today, my wife received a call that the Dr. wants to see her in 2 weeks instead of one month to check the baby's weight and fluid. This has us freaking out a bit (she had a MC last year so perhaps we are overly sensitive to things). My wife called back and the office staff told her the Dr. didn't review the scans until after we left and that's why he is scheduling it for 2 weeks instead of the month that was scheduled the day of the appointment. This has me even more concerned like he saw something and that's the reason for the earlier appointment.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I am having to go every week starting week 28 because of being high risk. Maybe they consider her high risk because of the miscarriage or something. I'm high risk because of miscarriage and high blood pressure. My actual appointment is week 27 and then have to go back week 28 and go every week until my princess comes. Just don't borrow trouble :-) and congrats on the baby :-)

If there were a major concern your doctor would tell you to come in right away , not wait two weeks. Just try to stay positive and not stress! I know it's easier said than done but stress isn't good for your bundle of Joy :)

Don't stress it, I started having Dr. Visits twice a month after week 27. It is normal.

If something was terribly wrong I'm sure they would have told you. Be at rest, all is well
