Thanks all for your insight, very helpful information.... and I definitely like the idea of a non-traditional coed party!
There are so many things that you will need that are gender neutral. So take advantage of your friends who want to help or at least give gift cards. I didn't want to do a baby shower with just girls and play all those silly games so we made a co-ed party and made it a big celebration. The men didn't even feel like it was a baby shower. PLUS if you register for all kinds of things you may even think you need or want, You'll get a discount off of things that weren't purchased on your list.
I've never liked baby showers either mainly because of the goofy games...but keep in mind, you don't have to play! You're there to be the judge and open presents! : )
I hope you enjoy it in the end and get lots of stuff!
Thanks! That is exactly the info I was looking for ☺
Even though showers can be uncomfortable for you, you should just tough it out because babies aren't cheap lol i would throw one around 7 months. Some people say 8 months but i have been a part of a few baby showers that were that close to the due date and the baby came early, or they were put on bed rest, etc. Plus at 7 months that gives you enough tine to get any items you're missing and tine to get the new stuff set up and situated before you get too uncomfortable to be doing all the moving and bending lol I hope this helps!
