membrane strip?

Has anyone had there membrane stripped? Does it hurt? And how fast did you go into labor after?

I had it done Monday and its painful but if it helps its worth it. It never helped me with my other two baby's. I lost my mucous plug today at lunch time and hoping the labor on its way. She will strip my membranes Monday again.

I was to get mine done today. But the baby's head is very low and she could not reach the  cervix and they decided to wait.

I had the 'stretch and sweep' as they call it in my previous pregnancies (10yrs ago). Lets just say its not pleasent but if it helps get things moving along its bearable
