I've known people to get a pack n play which has a basinnet included and use that. Might help save some money, especially since it's very temporary.
Big things:
1. Bassinet

5. Bibs
6. Burp cloths
7. Blankets
8. Receiving blankets

20. Breast pump if you're planning on breast feeding, along with breast pads.
21. Pacifiers

Oh I almost forgot, crib set and bassinet sheets.
Here's a few of the bigger things:
Crib and bassenet. Or just a simple Pack n' play. Car seat. Stroller. Baby bath tub. Diaper bag. Baby swing and baby bouncer. The swing and bouncer aren't a necessity, just an amenity that is nice to have. Breast pump if you are breast feeding.
Smaller things: Blankets, receiving blankets, burp clothes, bibs, caps, hand mits, socks, onsies, outfits, sleeper sacks. Bath bath soap, shampoo, and oil. Baby powder if wanted. Diaper rash cream. Diapers of multiple sizes. Baby wipes. Baby towels and wash clothes are nice to have. Bottles in a few sizes. Extra nipples for the bottles. Baby monitors. Crib sheets. Crib pad.
There is more I'm sure but there is a good start to a list.
