Smoking and drinking...

With that tittle u all would like to kill me... but i didnt know. We went to P.R. to spend new years with my husband's family. I was upset because I knew I was going to get my perios anytime soon, so I enjoyed every hour of it, I got in the pool, the beach, had some coquito, rum, because it was a party. We spend 2 weeks in P.R. and I didn't get my period. I did felt nauseous and dizzy but I thought it was because of the carnivals we went.
We got home and got worried, we did the home test and it came positive.
We are still waiting for 1 more week to be sure, we are scared, and now even scarier for all the drinking and smoking :( . Do you guys think that will affect the baby? I'm 6 weeks pregnant today.

I went to visit my husband's family in las Vegas before I knew I was pregnant and did a lot of drinking. My son is 2 now and perfectly heathy. I also have a friend who didn't know she was pregnant till she was 7 months and drank regularly. She also has a perfectly heathy 2 year old now. Just talk to your Dr.

I had to talk to my doctors nurse to ease my mind.

Talk to your doctor you are probably ok. It's not the same thing but I had my tooth pulled on Wednesday before I knew and I was taking ibuprofen like crazy for the pain then I had antibiotics, and then I had 3 shots ofthe anesthetic
