Brown spotting

Has anyone experienced brown spotting? I'm currently a little over halfway through my fifth week. I experienced a miscarriage in November at exactly 5 weeks, but I remember when the miscarriage started it was light pink spotting that gradually turned into period like bleeding. I'm curious if brown spotting is normal.

I'm on my 5th pregnancy, 4th pregnancy in the past 12 months. I started cramping and spotting at 6 weeks (which is when I lost my last 3 pregnancies) I've got a scan tomorrow to check if everything's ok and im terrified. Everything feels different this time round but I can't help worrying.x

Sorry I meant to add brown spotting is old blood. As long as your cramps aren't horrendous they say some brown spotting is normal x

As to what the doctors told me I'm 7 weeks as of now this is my second pregnancy, first pregnancy i misscarried and I remember I had dark brown discharge for a whole week I didn't wanna think the worse , I went with my OB he checked baby's heartbeat but couldn't hear nothing so he sent me to the E.R and they told me if it stopped I would continue a normal pregnancy .... sadyly it didn't one night I experienced the worst cramp pain ever I rushed to the ER as soon as I stepped in I felt some heavy bleeding ... I misscarried that day .. this happened 6- 7 months ago I'm pregnant again at 7 weeks I had some cramping pain before I knew I was prego thought I would get my period but nope the pain would go away and come back ... but than that pain went away and today when I got up to the restroom I noticed some dark brown discharge again but the discharge is only when I wipe ... it broke my heart cause that's how I started my first pregnancy.... later on today as I would continue to go to the restroom and wipe it went away I just hope it goes away and doesn't come back I have my first ultrasound appt tomorrow so I'm hoping for the best .
