Is it safe for us to eat turkey on thanksgiving ? I'm just asking cause of the stuff that's in there that makes you sleepy.  Thanks.

Josh_2415 is correct. The tryptophan in turkey is minimal. There is actually a lot more in other foods like cheeses and its not harmful to you or baby at all. So enjoy!

Do you mean the tryptophan? It's perfectly safe. There's so little of it in the meat that you'd have to eat a truckload of it before you're effected anyways. The only thing I've been told to watch out for at Thanksgiving is stuffing cooked inside the turkey because it's full of turkey juices and doesn't always reach a safe enough temperature to kill all the bacteria.

But nope. I plan on eating lots of turkey. And mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes,  and stuffing, and gravy, and pie..... Yum! :)

Yes u can eat turkey.  The hormone I  turkey that makes ya sleepy is the same type ur body produces.  So there is no harm in that

The turkey is fine to eat it poultry so as long as it is cooked through. The stuffing is mostley bread which might be why you get sleepy sugar carb overload. Unless its processed then its probably artificial ingredient overload.
