She did recommend me robutussin and musinex but when I went to the pharmacy the pharmacist told me that she didn't recommend me to take it cause it was class "C" so I didn't want to take chances

I'm not comfortable taking meds so I had a bad cough and sore throat and was coughing up junk and I got some decaffeinated green tea with anti oxidants and some lemon juice and made a glass of lemon tea every night and it went away.

You can also take mucinex. And Tylenol severe cold and flu. Both work very well.

Did your Dr give you a list of meds that you can take? On my list from my dr, it says robitussin dm is ok. It has a cough suppressant in it.
