^^ Thank you Ill be sure to try that out!
Sit upright, shoulders back on a flat, solid chair. Take one foot flexed and rest the lower part of your shin (just above your ankle bone) over your opposite knee. Like you're making a square. Keeping that foot flexed and back straight is supposed to help take some of the edge off and pressure off that nerve.its a very simple movement, be sure to switch sides to balance everything. I learned this from my prenatal yoga video and women swear by its relief. Good luck!
Thank you all for responding! I didnt even think of sciatica. Will definatly speak to my midwife about it at my next appointment
It sounds too me like scaiatic nerve pain. I get them all the time & my doctor just tells me their normal & really common in most women. I've been having it since about 24 weeks & I'm 35 weeks now. Its the most painful & uncomfortable back pain I've ever felt. My Dr said its the baby laying on your scaiatic nerve that causes this pain too shoot from your lower back down your butt & the backs of your legs. But I would ask your Dr anyways just too be safe.! Good luck I hope I could help.!
Agree with laurenC86 just rest
It goes away after baby is born though.
Sounds like sciatica, I actually just read an article on it and it's from baby pushing down on your sciatic nerve and it cause back pain and shooting pain down your legs like you described. Mention it to your doctor to make sure it's nothing more sever, but from what the article said there's not much you can do about it other than laying down or taking a warm bath. Good luck, Hope you start feeling better.
Thank you for responding it was worse yesterday today its calmed down abit dunno if it will get worse later on. I thought labour pains r contractions where it comes and goes regularly? The pain I have is ongoing and not in intervals
Its probly from baby being head down and pressing against your spine I get them to im 38 weeks but you should call your dr just in case it my be labor pains
