I feel pretty silly!

This isn't a question more me sharing an "this is crazy" moment lol So, I have been obsessed with getting my premom body back I am getting older (30 in Aug) and my body just really started to bring me down. Anyways, I started running pretty intensely EVERY single day over summer break (I attend college) and my cycle stopped I spoke to my dr and she said it was pretty normal for someone who runs like I was to not get their cycle. Cool! Right lol So when classes started back up in September I just didnt have the time to run (I have 2 young children as well 18mos & 4 yrs). So there I was waiting for my cycle to come back and when it didn't I started to get really concerned there was a medical reason and I was just about to make a dr. appt when my SO suggested I take a pregnancy test. I was like no way, we have been so careful and surely I would know by now this being my 3rd pregnancy and we havent had sex in over 2 mos (schedules, life, a bed full of kids just doesnt leave much time for adult fun these days). So I started thinking, well I have noticed a few extra lbs but I totally chalked it up to winter and not having time to excerise, and I have been obessed with how gross the fridge smelled even though nobody else in the house could smell it but I knew when someone opened the door from the living room lol Then I thought I have had this weird craving for soup but who doesnt love a nice hot bowl of soup in the winter?? BUT I never threw up not even ONCE!! I experienced terrible morning sickness with my first 2 children. I HAD felt nauseous just for 3 days but it was in the evening and right after both kids had just gotten over the flu so I thought it was just a touch of the flu. This is when it all clicked!! Holy "S" I am pregnant and not only pregnant I am about 2.5-3 mos pregnant already and panic set in because I have not taken prenatals I have not been taking care of myself the way I would've had I known and I cannot believe I didnt put this together sooner!! Has this ever happened to anyone else before? I feel like such an idiot! Lol My first appt is Tues I cant wait to just hear the heart beat and make sure everything is ok. I CANNOT believe I didnt know! We were not planning on our 3rd until AFTER my daughter started preschool but I guess God had other plans. I am just shocked I didnt know sooner. When did you all figure it out? Am I the only one this has ever happened to? Lol I knew right away with my first two this is so crazy! But we are crazy happy to be adding our final baby to the family! We will finally be complete :)

I just used my phone I just took a video of nothing really but it captured the sound. I asked nurse first if it was ok to and she not only agreed but she made sure we got a good clip of the sound.

Sooooo.. turns out I am not just the 12-16 weeks I thought lol I am 21 WEEKS!! How the hell did I not KNOW?! But everything looks great! Developing perfectly right on schedule! I am due the 4th of July and ITS A GIRL! I did record the heartbeat! Its def something I wish I did with my first two. I have listened to it about a million times already!

My situation is very similiar to yours, during my 6yr relationship we have tried and tried to have a baby we have two children from a previous relationship, we gave up and went months without sex, We seperated for a couple weeks we got back together and "made magic" ONE TIME lol. so during the months everyone was sick with the flu/virus i just knew it was my turn to be sick i thought i "had a touch of the flu" or "i was getting the virus" i always have been one of the lucky people who never get sick. During this time i had lost track of my period, my bf tells me im gaining weight, my butt is getting bigger, breast are getting bigger just thought it was from the weight i gain during winter months, i noticed i got easily upset feelings get hurt easy, i finally got so upset oneday i throwed up (STRANGE) finally my bf comes in with a test which showed positive so that explains all the strange symtoms, and the morning sickness began daily, im 17wks4days happy. Now, our little family is complete. Thank You All for the stories. I had never been on this app. Seems pretty cool.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond! I know it was kind of long lol I cannot wait for Tues. I kinda feel a little more paniced like I dont have those extra few months to prepare lol We will get through it though. I hope your appt goes great!! I am going to record this heart beat and save it. I didnt do that with my first two but it was always something I really wanted to share with family and friends but couldnt so this time I am going to record it and bring it home with us :)

I love the idea of recording the heartbeat! Hadn't even thought of it. We found out extremely early that we were pregnant and I almost wish we were a bit farther along when we found out. :o)

Thanks so much for sharing! Its nice to know there are other moms who missed the initial signs of a 2nd or 3rd pregnancy. Life just gets so busy and we women are guilty of always putting ourselves and our needs last. I just totally wasnt listening to my own body! And same here we def were not planning on a 3rd for a cpl more years! I couldnt imagine adding another 18 month old to our mix lol God Bless you hunny!

This kind of happened to me.. my family was concerned with my sister in law being a pregnant. We were all concerned about her having not known about her pregnancy for 3 months because she was told that she couldn't have kids that I lost track of my period. Everyone was getting the flu and I have bad allergies so I thought it was that.. I ate some chocolate at Halloween and thought I got sick off of candy because we aren't a big candy eating family.. fast forward 4 weeks and still no period. I took a test... pregnant.. for 2 months I didn't know.... I have 3 other kids.. 2 18 month olds and a 3 year old.... we weren't planning for another baby until the 3 year old was in 1st grade... whoops.....

I have not been in this situation but congrats! This was such a fun read. Haha. Thank you for taking the time to write it down and share. I get to hear the heartbeat for the first time this week too. So excited!
