40 weeks equals 9 calendar months (30 & 31 days per month) or 10 lunar months (28 days per month) so really depends what you read and how YOU choose to count pregnancy. Aside from the fact hospitals and doctors use calendar months too, I personally pay no attention to lunar months, I have a normal diary and calendar and that's how I track my pregnancy. But just as a guide I use this layout I came across -
1st Trimester
1 month - weeks 1-4
2 months - weeks 5-8
3 months - weeks 9-13
2nd Trimester
4 months - weeks 14-17
5 months - weeks 18-22
6 months - weeks 23-27
3rd Trimester
7 months - weeks 28-31
8 months - weeks 32-35
9 months - weeks 36-40
Technically pregnancy is 10 months not 9. 40 weeks which is why you decide by 4
Every month is 30-31 days. So you're 6 almost 7 months. If you just divide by 4 you end up at 10 months when it really is 9 months.
think of every month being 4Weeks long then divide that by how many Weeks you are and if you have a remainder that's the extra Weeks you are...ex: Your'e 29 Weeks divided by 4 and You get 7 mos and Remainder of 1 week= 29 Weeks
About 7 months and 1 week
Ya i lost track of the months!
