3 hour glucose test!

Wish me luck I'm finally doing my 3 hr glucose test. Hate the drink but my doc is making me do it lol. How was your guys experience with it

Mines was fruit punch it was good and cold but mines wasn't three hours it was only one

Mine wasn't so bad. My drink tasted like 7Up mixed with Sprite. They kept it very cold. I was able to have a sip of water after 2 hours, I felt kinda funny but instead of puking I wound up doing a great #2. Lol!

Oh wow that sounds horrible. I hated it as well. And throw up every time. Just as I Did today lol.I refuse to do it again

Technically you cannot eat until the test is administered but you can drink water.  You cannot drink water during the test though which *****.  I felt more nausea that day than any day.  My one hour was high. They didn't even finish the three hour because my blood was not separating from the syrum. Additionally I was not a good needle stick.  They poked me twelve times creating dramatic bruises on my arms and hands. They stopped the test and took my a1c levels. The a1c was high so they waited another week of me testing blood sugars and retested and it came back normal. Ughh I dread doing it again! Worst test ever!

Thank u. My levels came back high after doing the one hour so now I'm stuck doing the 3 hr. I just have the drink

mine went okay, I did take some peppermint oil with me rip help as not eating for that long and then drinking something so sweet made me feel real sick...I also drank about a bottle of water between each blood draw...including one right after drinking the stuff which helped. My results came back normal. Good luck;)

I get the 3 hrs test.. I get little weak. But it's nothing to worry it

Good luck , I had it last week , it was too hard for me to stay hungry :( anyways i dint received resluts yet , but i was suggested this by dr coz they found my gestational diabets bit on higher side , i dont know if they take this test for every mum to be ??
