35 weeks severe itching?

Is anyone else experiencing severe itching, especially at night? I'll be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it's been going on for almost a week.  The weird thing is its not my stomach its my back,legs,arms ext..  It's really bothering me. .

It's called cholestasis (not homeostasis), but the above poster is right about the rest of it. Definitely ask your Dr on Monday though just to be sure!

My cousin is a L&D nurse and we were just talking about her patient who was 36+6  who had to be induced because of the itching.  The condition is called homeostasis and you should have your doctor check your bile salts levels.  Good luck

There is pregnancy complication that can cause itching. If you skin is well hydrate talk to your doctor just to be safe.

It's probably just dry skin get vitamin E oil or lather your skin with your favorite lotion like 2 times a day and after a shower and you should be ok

I'm 37 weeks as well and have the same issue. I have to have my husband help me put baby oil on my back and shoulders every night just to be able to tolerate it.

I don't understand where it came from its horrible though and I hate scratching my skin as hard as I have to lol

I'm 37 weeks and have the same problem!!! To make it worse we just found out our kitten has fleas!!! :'( I feel like burning my skin! Ugh
