In Ontario they strongly encourage induction at 41+3

My doctor says for sure by 42 weeks because the placenta starts to lose its ability to nourish the baby at that point. I'm getting induced at exactly 41 weeks, but I have mixed emotions about it. For those who were induced how did it go?

It wasn't in my case. My dr. Induced me with my first 2 weeks early because I was 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced 3 weeks before my due date so the following week he induced me. My second I was induced 1 week before my due date because she was due on my son's birthday and I had to beg for that. But not all Dr's are so relaxed about inducing.
