Sorry bit of venting.

I've been on hold for the better part of the day. I called my insurance to see what benefits I have and was on hold for an hour and a half to be told that my company hasn't updated it and i would have to get in touch with my HR department. My HR department refered me back to the insurance... I get assistance to help with my older daughters daycare and when I tried notifying them about my leave of absence for my soon to be labor I get put on hold to get transferred to a voicemail. Last call I made before I forget was to update the place my company goes through for leave of absence and I get put on hold for half an hour to yet again get transferred to a voicemail. I have heard the "Your call is important to us. Please hold." enough times I want to pull my hair out. Everytime I get a call back I have to ask them if I can call them at a later time because I'm either driving or in a doctor's appointment! I'm due in 5 days and my doctor says it could happen any day now between being dilated and contractions but I swear these people would have the timing to probably call me while I'm in the delivery room. Sorry for the rant but this is driving me insane right now.

It was answered. Just that my employer hasn't updated the benefit plan. I thought after the change in ownership they would actually catch up on paperwork but it seems that they are still a month behind schedule.

Can you not go through the cancellation line. No insurance company wants customers to leave so they usually make sure those calls are answered
