And don't feel bad, i had a hard time at first too, and I'm sure most heavy smokers have this problem too
I had a really hard time because I didn't really feel pregnant or attached to my baby yet but once I heard the heart beat I haven't smoked again since leaving that appointment.
Yeah depending on what you smoke get something cheap or heavy or something you wouldn't smoke normally, i was having a hard time until I started sharing with my husband and his nasty smokes made me realllllyyy nauseous and I'd get sick if i smoked them. Even now if i cave and bum one of his, i can't even get half way through before i feel like ill have to run to the bathroom.I wouldn't suggest the vapor cigarettes, cuz even though i reallyyy like them, esp the tasty ones, but they haven't done any testing on then, and no one really knows if they are safe, and although ill smoke them, im not sure you should risk it while your pregnant ya know?
My boyfriend got me to quit when he quit buying cigs and started gettung black and milds since i cant stand the smell of them. Also i would convince myself i would get sick if i smoked when i had a craving
For the health of your baby, should alone make you want to quit smoking! Your baby could be born with many complications you don't want the baby to live with. I quit smoking & drinking cold turkey for my current pregnancy. Just wait til the baby is born and your in a much healthier state after the birth to start smoking again. For the baby's sake!!
This is my first baby,Im getting an ultrasound at 13 weeks I keep getting mixed information on if I will be able to know the sex this early. Is it pssible?
You can use nicotine gum, patches or lozenges or all three! Whatever works! I was watching a lot of Mums behaving badly on YouTube and they all quit with nicotine replacement. Just don't get down on yourself, stop that right now, you've already done a great job cutting back! Soon you won't feel like having those last 1-2 are even worth it. After you see your baby on ultrasound you won't want to anymore. Its the hardest thing you'll ever do, but its worth it. Welcome to motherhood!
I smoked about the same. And at 9 weeks I finally told my self its time and quit cold turkey. It is hard. But get some jolly ranchers or suckers and every time you want one put one in your mouth! It helps a lot. Good luck(:
I stopped smoking by using the new vapor cigeretts they have its got a lot less toxins
I think there are support groups that teach you safe alternatives, check on your hospitals website
