A question just for fun! Make-up during labor?

Hey ladies! I have always wondered how many women are getting dolled up when delivering? I saw Dr. Phil once and his wife Robin was completely done up! I couldn't believe it!! She looked like a cloen with SO MUCH make up...Me personally i wouldnt because i wouldnt feel so great but some women actually do it. So, which brings me to ask you ladies, would you? I don't see anything wrong i just personally wouldn't.

Ill probably just curl my eyelashes and put a bit of foundation on because of my acne but i wouldnt try to put anything else cause i wouldnt want to look like a sad clown with make up and eyeliner and all that smeared everywhere lol

Hmmm... I had never even thought about this. But now I kind of want to do it before I go in bc I know my mom will be snapping pix. Lol... And I didn't sweat at all with my first but I had the epidural so the whole experience was super easy stuff and actually pretty relaxing. Lol

Lol nice. I always thought houston was considered "dry heat" tho? I had to go there a couple times for work training, it was a fun place to visit. Maybe thats just what people from around here call it, because I live in the midwest- home of the frigid winters and hot humid summers lol

Yeah me too. Lol. I have a little acne but with this pregnancy it cleared up really good, i haven't had a break.out since i was about 4 mos. I just think getting completely done up is a little much but i can understand some.women wanti.g to.look good. Because ppl tend to take pictures..

If I go into labor during the day, i'll already be dolled up haha. I normally wear makeup every day. Not a lot, just foundation and eyeliner. But I have a mild case of acne so even if I'm not wearing makeup, i will definitely put on some foundation before going to the hospital. I don't really like my skin.

I won't wear makeup. But I am planning on getting a pedicure the week before I'm due, provided she doesn't come early. I just feel better when my toes are done. Even if no one is going to see them.

Well from reading these comments, I must be a freak of nature or something because I didn't sweat with either of my first two kids and I had them both natural. I didn't have time to do anything before my first,  he woke me up at 6am, got to the hospital at 8am then delivered him at 10am. But I did put under eye concealer & mascara on before having my second, who also woke me up out of my sleep to tell me it was time to bring her into this world lol, and that labor was 5 hours at the hospital. So I'll be doing the same for this baby, since sweat is not an issue for me

If I already have makeup on when my labor pains begin..but I certainly won't put makeup on to go to the hospital where I'm gonna scream and sweat and cry for goodness knows how many hours lol.
I will pack makeup in my baby bag though so after I have the baby I can feel somewhat pretty again and refreshed. Definitely not before though. That would be a waste.

LOL WOW! The majority is a no. I don't blame you all. I wouldn't either. I remember when they said Kim K. Had her baby she said she wanted her daughter to think she had the most beautiful mom ever. I thought wtf? Who does that. And then i saw a Dr. Phil.show and his wife was talking about giving birth to her boys and they showed a picand she COMPLETELY DONE UP. It wasn't even natural looking, she even had blush! I couldn't believe it. I don't have great skin and i look super tired without makeup so maybe I'll wear just a little bit. But no eye make up ill look like the walking dead. Lol

Lol... i did my make up on the way to the hospital with my first... it melted off my face pretty quick. Definitely wont be doing anything with #2! Totally pointless.

No way for me...I'll just be worried more about the whole pooping and hatching a baby and I have this saying about my hair anyway....it stays where it lays; as for  my makeup, I really only wear mascara but not on that day....unless I go into labor at work and don't have a choice.

I never hardly wear makeup as it is - i have like permanent little red marks on either side of my nose that can't be covered anyway so theres no point! Especially when you are gonna sweat it all off anyway haha My family is gonna post pictures on fb anyway once they get there and I'm gonna look terrible and exhausted anyway so whatever lol

No! I personally wouldn't get dolled up either, i'd be sweating and in so much pain so i wouldn't care how i look. I have nothing against women who do get dolled up for delivery, it's their choice :)

I might put foundation on but only because I've been cursed with bad acne since my first son (he's 13 now). I hate all the blotches, blemishes and bumps. I cover them. I don't wear full on makeup on a daily basis, but I do wear foundation out of the house. Now. If I went into labor and the contractions were unbearable, yeah forget it who cares. If I had time, yes. Lol
