Antibiotics are not harmful during pregnancy and are given quite often. As a nurse I looked up each category. You'll be fine taking them. They prescribed me Norco and another time Tylenol with Codeine and I wouldn't take them plus I didn't need to tylenol was extremely helpful.

I'd never take such medications while pregnant. they can be so harmful to either of you while pregnant, especially baby! Antibiotics are the worst to tie while pregnant and just are not for a baby to be ingesting... My wisdoms are coming in and like all bloody hell annoy and put me through mounts of pain. But I'd never allow a doctor or dentist to convince me of taking such harsh chemically made medications while pregnant.

Yes I had my wisdom tooth pulled at 9 weeks pregnant and it was fun I am not trying to scare you or anything but my experience was quite something as you can't take no pain killers exept Tylenol that doesn't do anything for me.

Yes, this exact situation happened to me a few weeks ago. I had a tooth that was infected and extremely painful. Could not sleep it was so bad. They were going to do a root canal, but I felt that would be too costly ($600-800 was the est after insurance)  and extensive, so decided to just have them pull it. Was the best decision! Not only did it save money (after insurance it was about $200) and stress it did not hurt one bit being pulled! They numbed my mouth slightly and had the tooth out in seconds. Much better than a root canal and having to be on questionable pain meds. Also seemed the best option to prevent infection spreading through the body and potentially harming the baby. Best wishes!

Recovery is about a wk. That's from sore and swelling! First 3-4 hrs are very uncomfortable idk about painful because I was numb. But once the medicine wore out it was a lil uncomfortable. You will be fine. I definitely felt that tugging and pulling. I think that scared me the most. Good luck!

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Two were one at a time due to one being close to the nerve and then the other two. The first 3 hours were painful one I didn't get pain at all. I could manage the pain easily with Tylenol. Takes a few days to be able to eat regular food. About two weeks to heal. It wasn't bad for me at all.

I'm so glad i saw this. Im having terrible pain in a tooth I've had fillings in. I just want it out even though I'm terrified. I have no dental insurance so a root canal will be too expensive compared to an extraction. Its In the back so I'm not too upset about it. It stinks that on top of pregnancy discomforts we have tooth pain :/

I had mine removed a few months ago. I was in sooo much pain, I didn't sleep for like 3 days koz of it. They gave me a choice to do root canal or extraction.. I just wanted it out. I couldn't eat on one side for like a day or two but other than that it was manageable n then after loke a week I felt absolutely nothing n boy it felt sooo much better after
