circumcision?

I am expecting a little boy, ive watched videos and done research and the whole idea of it makes me sick to my stomach and nervous. Have any of you got your son s circumcised? Were there side effects? Did you breast feed afterward? I heard some babies wont breast feed after a circumcision. Only reason im even considering it is because my boyfriend ia circumcised and he and his mother are telling me they wont forgive me if I don't have it done.

My first is not circumsised. No infections...having a foreskin does not cause infection as this is a myth. Not bathing regularly causes infections! Most countries dont have this...it is male mutalation in my opinion...but that is just my opinion

If you've done you're research and seen how this is done.. can you imagine handing him over to allow it to be done to your baby boy? I have 2 boys who are both intact. I was going to circumcise my oldest simply because it was what you did. All my family is. At 37 weeks I watched a video of one being done and knew I would never be able to subject any boy to that. That's when I decided that instead of researching circumcision I'd research the foreskin and it's functions. At birth the foreskin is literally fuzed to the head of the penis the most common misconceptions are that you retracy at every chsnging and clean under the skin but you do not. It's fuzzed like the nail to the nail bed and retracting would cause great pain. You just wipe what is seen.. much easier to clean than and open wound in a poppy diaper. My oldest is 7 and is still nowhere near retractable and most aren't until puberty. No infections ever. Most infections are caused by forcefully retracting. I mean think about it.. the way evolution work do you think the sex organ the organ for reproduction is flawed? Do you think we wouldn't have evolved as a species and done away with it one our own if it were useless? Google search; thewholenetwork,
Drmomma the functions of the foreskin, drmomma intact or circumcised the significant difference, sexasnatureintendedit is an awesome site and so is savingoursons. Dr's opposing circumcision is a great one too. You do your research and you'll  know what to do without a doubt. It isn't come thing others can tell you because this is your boy and all parents have different  views. Watch YouTube videos of it being done show your husband and his mom and say you'd never forgive yourself for doing it and they'll love him whole just as if he were cut. Watch YouTube video circumcision elephant in the hospital. Add me on instagram ;) I'm @nortnii!

I have 3 boys. Two were hospital born and circumsized. My first son, nothing but problems because the procedure was incorrect. He suffered from infections and painful urinating until he was 4. My second son, no problems. My third son, home birth and NOT circumsized. I wish i knew then what i know now or i would have not done the first two. Our third son's penis functions just as well as the othes. No infections and i dont have to pull the skin back or anything. The midwives/ pediatrician say just leave it alone. DO YOUR RESEARCH! We left it in tact for so many benefits as he becomes an adult. Do not let anybody pressure you into doing something to your baby you dont wanna do! Good luck

Circumcision is the best way to do it, don't have to worry about infections.

My partner (who still has his foreskin) has also told me that even if I wanted to, he wouldn't allow me to do it to our son. That's coming from a man who didn't get the procedure.

I'm not from america. In most countries, this is not the norm. My partner, his brother, my brother, my dad. My partners dad, all of our uncles and all of our grandparents have not been circumcised and they also were capable of cleaning themselves. None have had complications and none of them regret having a foreskin. You have a huge amount of western countries where the majority of people don't do this and they are all fine. I am having a boy and he will not be put through the pain of cutting the parts that nature gave him. Obviously its your choice, but as a woman, I struggle to see how I can make a choice like this on behalf of my beautiful son.

Well I have 2 boys and neither are. There father isn't so I didn't get them done. But I just use a wipe to clean them every diaper change and that's it. With my oldest I have to pull the skin babck and clean sometimes but they haven't had any infections or anything.

I got my boy circd when he was 6wks old because his daddy is. It was actually so easy, it he breastfed fine, and had no after pains. Make sure you do it early as possible otherwise they tend to feel it more
