I agree with you ref those with downs being lovely people. They have a huge heart and a whole lot of love to give.

Amnio is dangerous for baby. I have a cousin who is down syndrome. She is one of the funnest people I know. She's care free, very happy, has an innocence to her that other people don't. People with down syndrome are a blessing. I feel like God makes them that for a reason.

My baby wouldn't lie still enough at 12 Weeks to do the nuchal test and then at 15 weeks when they offered the quad blood test we refused. We waited long enough (4 years) to conceive our boy.

Anyway, my Aunt had an Amnio and ended up having a miscarriage as a result.

I suggest that unless you plan on  terminating your baby if they have downs syndrome, then steer clear of the amnio. Better to have a baby with downs than no baby at all, obviously thats my personal opinion

Hi there, I received a bad bloodtest result... went for the amnio at 16weeks and all was good with baby. Although I only had a 750/1 chance for down syndrome, I had to know.
