Anti Hestamine med

Im in week 9 and i've been having body itching even prior to my pregnancy and been taking anti hestamine meds ever since, my OB prescribe another anti hestamine during my pregnancy and says this is safe, but question is, i've been relying a lot on this meds, im afraid of the side effect it might bring to my baby if il take this prolong. Anyone has similar experience?

I've been on Benedryl for my itching it was so bad I left welts on my body from scratching. My OB said the Benedryl is fine and safe for my baby. I was taking it 3 times a day for about 3 months. Then all of a sudden last week the itching stopped being that bad I'm dowm to 1 Benedryl a day.

I get severe allergies and use anti - histamines. Although my doctor says they're safe,  I only use them when my breathing is being affected or have a severe skin reaction. Otherwise, I try using cold damp cloths to reduce itching/swelling.

Use aveeno body wash..and cortizone cream to relieve the itching it works.

If its because you just have extremely dry skin like me my doctor told me to use sensitive skin bar soap by dove and then I use a lotion just a plain no sent lotion mixed with hydrocortisone cream. My skin is still a little itchy but its a lot better than it was. And the dry air from the heat since its getting cold makes it worse so use a humidifier.

you shouldn't have to take meds cause your itching. always ask for natural alternative methods for future concerns. seems like your ob loves to prescribe medication.

if you feel that way then stop taking them. you can use coconut to help your dry skin. apply it when you get out of the shower.
