My daughter slept in the hospital bed with me and we coslept for about the first year of her life. Her pediatrician actually recommends it. She has a son born a few days after my daughter and coslept with her son as well. So I think it would be fine for one night!

My son didn't have his done until 2 weeks old so we had already come home. I didn't want mine to get use to it either. My husband always wanted to nap with him in our bed and it drove me crazy. I would move the baby to his cradle after he fell asleep.

I don't want him to get use to it at all .but he won't sleep in the hospital cradle. Hopefully he will sleep in his bed when we get discharged from here.

I slept with my son next to me after his but only for a night. Then I moved him back to his cradle which was still in my room so I could comfort him by voice or rocking. He slept in my room but not my bed until 4 months then I moved him to a crib in his own room.
