Pregnancy test

The last time we had sex was august 20. I took a pregnancy test October 2nd and it was negative, would that test be accurate? Also should I take another one?

If you got your period that soon there's no possible way your pregnant. You have to have sex over your ovulation time, which is like a week and a half after your period ends, and if you don't get pregnant you'll have your next period about 2 weeks after you ovulate.

I'm having similar issue. I am now 7 days late, having symptoms but hpt is still negative. How much longer should I wait to test again? How long does it take to get blood pregnancy test results back?

That was 5 weeks ago when u had sex. Did you have a period? If you had a period no i don't think your pregnant. Its hard to get a false negative. But if you have not had a period in five weeks then just wait anither week and test again
