Anyone not having a baby shower?

Long story short, I don't have any friends that live in this state and the one family member that lives here isn't able to throw me one. I don't think it makes sense for me to organize one for myself when there isn't a group of people close by to invite anyway. Advice? Anyone else in this boat?

I really didnt want one bc i had no clue hiw to throw one then my mother in law and sister in law told me they where throwing one for me and literally they lefti t all up to me my sister in law just put the date and said it will be at my mother in laws house and then she saido k see you that day, and my mother in law just worried about the food which i appreciate but now they shower is tomorrow and im so stress bc i got nogame or anything at all! Not many ppl either. Its very stressful so i do recomend you to not do it if its only going to stress you out bc you'll doit your self just talk to the family you do have anda ask them to maybe help out on getting some stuff.my friend didn't have one and she just asked for her family to help and they did. Also looko nline for cheaper stuff. Get coupons and everything you can get to short down the expenses

I'm not having a baby shower neither,
I didn't want to bc I don't have friends nd my family don't leave here , my boyfriend family wanted to make me one but I told them I didn't wanted to , so they told me what I needed the most I just told them I wanted a car seat with the stroller bc that the most important thing that i need when ever I have the baby

And i dont live in the same state as my.mom as well. My bf and i ate full time students so that factors into it to. Stay positive tho :)

Im not having a baby shower. For one my bf and i have pretty much everything already. (Clothes etc ) my mom is very happy so she is going crazy lol. I dont have many friends where i am so i dont want one.. i just want a diaper shower or ppl to give me diapers

I just moved here a year ago and felt the same, but SO has tons of family and friends with wives, so I lucked out and am getting a huge bash. For you, I would suggest using Amazon.com as a registry. Everything we picked out at Babies R Us and Target are on the site for cheaper and if you get Amazon Mom (highly recommend) you can get huge discounts plus free 2 day shipping. Their diapers are a great deal, too. I'm sorry you feel like you're not around many people and I understand the loneliness. If friends and family are willing to maybe do a conference call or a video chat, you can still have the attention and get gifts sent and open them on a Google Hangout (free private video chat room to invite friends to).

Try to stay positive and see if there are mommy groups in your area on meetup.com - it's a social site for meeting people locally that you have things in common with. You may find some nice women like yourself in your same situation. Best of luck!
