I'm in the same boat. But plan on canceling my induction next week because I read really bad things about it. My first child was 5 days late.
But really babies come when they want to.
Walk, have sex, bounce and roll your hips on a yoga ball, walk up stairs, squat, nipple stimulation, I did sit ups (with Hubby's help) with my son that wasn't induced. I didn't think it worked at first then I got dressed for bed,sat on the bed to lay down and my water broke and contractions started within 10 min.
Im pregnant with #6. All my kids have been induced but one. My last one I was induced with and I didn't get an epidural. It was really painful but childbirth is supposed to be painful. I guess it depends on your body. From start to finish my labor with him was only 5 1/2 hours. I don't know if I would have lasted for 18-20 hours. Being induced makes the contractions come on harder and faster but I looked at the nurse and said "bring it" the harder and faster they come the sooner I'll be holding my baby! Each person is different though, having had so many I knew what to expect and my pain tolerance is much higher now than it was with my first. You're not a failure if you get an epidural. I was always nervous about the pain of getting an epidural but honestly for me it felt like a lot of pressure, that's it. But really the contractions were so painful I wouldn't have cared if they drove a Mac truck up my back!
I was due 4days ago tried everything but nothing just want my little lady now :( xxx
I went 4 days past my due date when i got induced my doctor sweep my membrane on my due date that made me dialate. I started walking more and more after that when you get induced the contractions are alot worse just start relaxed and good luck
