Hospital bag

I'm 33 weeks a FTM and I want to pack my hospital bag now just to be prepared because I know it's getting closer for him to come.
I just want to know what do you pack in the baby bag and shouldn't u pack because I heard hospitals provide diapers and wipes,so what should I pack?

Hi there.  Here's my suggestions after two kids.

Your bag--  all things needed like phone, charger, camera.  Going home clothes (I took maternity pants the second time, the first time I brought regular pants  . . .  duh, like I'd be back to normal as soon as I gave birth.  LOL). I also brought pj's I never wore the first time.  You are a patient and having a baby is messy business---  so I wore the hospital gown.  I took socks that I threw away before I left that I wore as they had drops of blood on them and I just got a little yucked out by them.  So, I'd skip the jammies unless you have a pair you might trash after but do bring a robe for walking around or if you have guests.  Make up bag.  You can bring your shower things but I also found that I showered before going in for delivery (yep, in labor my doc said take a quick shower which I was thankful I did) and then you aren't in the hospital long and those bathrooms are not like hotel baths, so I showered when I got back home.  But some like to shower there so take your necessary items for that.  I did have what I needed for 'good hair' ha ha and my make up bag.

For baby, you need outfit to go home.  Yes, the hospital provides diapers, wipes, etc. AND, you have paid for these items so take what is left on your cart with you when you leave.  That whole cart are things allotted for your baby--  so take it home.  Baby blanket, if you want something of your own for that newborn baby pic, your car seat all ready for little one and really, that's about it for baby.

What a wonderful time in your life.  I packed kind of light especially for the second time.  I realized that you are a patient when there and therefore, the hospital provides for what you need mostly.  Also take home any sanitary items them provide for you such as the hoseiery with the pads. Buy extra pads for at home so you don't have to go out or send your partner out to get them.

good luck to you hon
