I felt the same way.
I think it depends on weather you prefer your newborn to sleep in his or her nursery or if you choose to do co sleeping.
For myself this time as soon as i got gender and plan of birth action from my ob i asked what most previous patients preferred and what was the most successful.
I then took those notes and checked every store online and cross referenced ratings and personal reviews as well.
For myself this time I'm choosing a easy reach co sleeper bassinet with window netting ventilation with the option to not put in bed but up against the bed on my side. Its sturdy as a regular bassinet would be but with the option to put one side down.
I choose this one for my 1st c section since it will take a bit a time to recover it seemed appealing and has nothing but wonderful reviews.
My ob agrees as well.
Not really recommend for travel use tho as there had been complaints of it not being very easy to collapse
Do you have a walmart in your home town.
I collect coupons like crazy.
Deciding to put a 3 in 1 crib for the nursery tho.
The bassinet i choose is roughly 125 even
Congratulations on your little new one! :)
My sister loved the play pen and we found it useful because when we stayed the night at grandma's ig was easy just to pack up and take to where we going
I'm planing to use just playpen for couple of months then buy a convertable crib and I will just buy second hand but of course if its still in good condition cribs are expensive for brand new.
My mom used a play pin with my last sister and she loved it!
