Baby having hair

I've always heard that if you have heart burn alot during pregnancy your baby will come out with alot of hair. Anyone had this happen. I never had heart burn till the end of my 6 month and now I get it for no reason and can't get rid of it

Yeah it's just old wives tales (myth) because with my first pregnancy I don't have noooo heart burn at all and my daughter was born with a head full of hair.

Same goes for my sisters.  They al never had heart burn and all her girls has a head full of hair

I've heard old wives tale. Then too, Research shows more common to have hair in most/more women with heartburn.  I've also heard there is now a little science behind this. The more hormones the more hair, the more esophagus relax.

It's a myth. Heartburn has nothing to do with hair. It has to do with what you eat/drink.

I never had heart burn with my first son and he had a full head of hair so I guess it depends.

I work in GI, and when youre pregnant there is a hormone that for some reason allows the sphincter muscle at your GI junction (between the esophagus and stomach) for relax, allowing acid to come up (heartburn) or allow food to come up as well(reflux) . So your baby could have a lot of hair, or none at all! Water will not help heartburn or reflux!
