Baby's weight- is my wee one going to be a chubby thing?

Hi. I'm not at all concerned. Because a chubby baby is a cute baby. But. I'm 21 weeks. At 19 weeks, the doctor said my baby boy was weighing 11 ounces. She didn't seem concerned and neither am I. But I know that the estimated weight for 19 weeks is like 8 ounces. I've trued to see online to see if that meant that I was having a chubby baby. All it says is that if the baby is weighing more than average do not be alarmed. But I'm not alarmed!!! I just wanna know if he's a fat little thing. XD I was born super chubby. Has anyone had any experience with their baby being bigger than average in the womb and then the baby coming out big? Or does the weight literally mean nothing at this point?

I've seen loads of people put on here that days before they were due they were told a certain weight, then they've come out and been a lot less. I had a scan yesterday at 28 weeks, baby should be about 2lb 2oz but they said she was 2lb 15oz already lol she's not meant to be that for a few weeks yet. I'm just happy she's healthy

My baby is measuring 5 pounds 5 ounces at 38 weeks but supposedly the most weight is gained the last couple weeks of pregnancy. I think chubby babies are cute I dont believe the weight now has anything to do with how much he/she will weigh at birth though. Dont worry mama a healthy baby is a happy baby .

The babies weight is an average taken based on a lot of factors that are not personalized to you at all but general to everyone. All my babies have been larger than average in uterus and at birth but that is just how it goes in my family. My son, born at 36wks was 6lbs 1oz and my daughter born at 40wk 1day was 9lb 7oz....so assuming my son made it to term he would have been 8-9lbs too. Doctors were concerned early that his head was on the larger side but he is perfectly fine and we'll within the growth charts...so no worries momma. I am sure you and baby will be just fine no matter if chubby or not! :)
