Best news ever

After being put on bed rest at 37 weeks Friday I have been super grumpy because that is 3 more weeks I would have to pay a substitute teacher. Today my boss called and said the sub is having such a good time and my class is so well behaved and helpful that he is going to do it for free as a gift to me so I can enjoy this time and the birth of our first child without the added stress of money. I am beyond shocked and want to do something super nice for h8m to say thank you. Any ideas?

It is so hard to decode what to do since this is such a large commitment for him to make.  I think the combo of baked goods, gift card and thank you note is the way I'm going to go.  ;) thanks ladies

Aww, that's so nice of him! Its hard to come around genuinely nice people like that.. I think the suggestion of baked goods and a thank you card / note is a very nice idea :)

Or maybe when you come back to teach, on his last day you can surprise him with your students help with a big party! Or invite him and his SO to dinner! Gosh it's exciting to know there are such good people!

Wow, what a great person! An edible arrangement is a good choice! Or maybe a gift card to a nice restaurant with a nice written thank you card. Gosh I don't even know, that's just such a kind thing to do! Its hard to feel accomplished when thanking someone for such a big thing!
