I breastfed both my babies. Got my period back at 5 months with first baby and 12 months with second baby. Different things make a difference if you are breastfeeding. My first baby took a pacifier and my second  didn't. Cycles came back sooner with baby who took one.

I was only able to breastfeed for about a week. I stopped bleeding 3 weeks after giving birth, then had my first period around 8 and a half weeks.

I didn't breast feed my daughter because my milk never came in and I started back around 4 to 6 weeks after I had her. I can't remember. It's been almost 6 yrs ago. If your worried ask your doctor.
