My doctor suggested putting an antibiotic cream up my kids nostrils to kill the bug out....it worked for us ;)

Staph is carried in our noses. There is no real prevention to staph infections.  They can happen from something as small as a paper cut. Washing hands often and keeping noses clean are a few things you can try. Hand sanitizer helps too. Cleaning your home with bleach also. Because staph is carried on items. Like phone, door handles, toys, etc. Also keeping diaper areas and areas with alot of sweat or moisture clean and dry. Hope this helps. Good luck!!
